Sealink, Developed Mechanical Seal Units with Improved Economic Efficiency and Stability
In February, nearly half of petrochemical facilities were shut down due to a strong cold spell that hit the United States. Although they started to operate this month; however, since the supply was not sufficient when the demand is increasing, the positive profit for the related companies in the second semester is expected.
Following this phenomenon, the interest to the promising companies with advanced technology has been increased, and Sealink which manufactures the sealing that is necessary for the petrochemical “Sealing” process is drawing attention.
“Sealing” is the method that prevents fluid leakage from the rotating shaft at high temperature, high pressure, and in vacuumed conditions, and usually the Mechanical Seal which has a wider friction area was used. However, the conventional type needs extra space and money for the lubricants, and it has a problem of explosion and product damage.
‘S-Seal’ which is invented by Sealink with domestic technology has a smaller friction area compare to the mechanical seal, and it can rotate without supplying lubricants. Also, it can be used at both pressure and vacuum conditions, so can minimize the install space and maintenance expenses.
CEO RHEE of Sealink said “Sealink is specialized seal manufacturer that has various domestic and overseas patents, and with continuous research about the product and technology, the company has improved the conventional mechanical seal and invented the lubricants free seal which has nonlinear contact theory. And apply the S-Seal to the various petrochemical equipment such as Agitator, Reactor, Mixing Tank, Dryer, Melting Tank, and Crystalline Tank, can help with stability and economic efficiency.”
From 2014, through continuous research and development with CEO RHEE, who has twenty-seven years of experience in materials and parts fields, and employees, Sealink proved its technology skill by acquiring nine domestic patent registers, ten overseas patent registers, six domestic patent applications, nine overseas patents applications, and around ten certificates.
Besides, Sealink is collaborating with and supplying promising companies in semiconductors, steels, marines, and pharmaceutical industries, such as SK Hynix, Panasonic, and KC Tech.
